I%26#39;m planning a trip to Kunming and our main reason to visit is photographs (the ethnic minority like Musho), the old city and the hills or else
Can anybody give us some advice about our trip such as accomodation since we will have only 4 days.
Thanks

I think you%26#39;ll have problems seeing much in the way of original minority culture and etc if you%26#39;re going to be only in Kunming for the 4 days.
Are you confused, maybe? Are you visiting Yunnan province, or only Kunming? 4 days is a bit short though. Transport to rural areas isn%26#39;t that well-developed and you%26#39;ll be spending a lot of time on transport if you%26#39;re travelling to anywhere rural and remote to get good photos.

My trip is to Yunnan Province maybe Lijiang for 4 days.
I know is short but better than nothing and for the first since we would like to repeat.
From what I read Lijiang is very beautiful
Where are you going to Lijiang from? Have you also factored in the travel time required, in your 4 days?
If your 4 days don%26#39;t include travel time then yes, I think your plan might be feasible. However, I think you need to do a bit more research about what minorities live in which parts of Yunnan. The Mosuo minority lives around Lugu Lake which%26#39;s about 10 hours drive from Lijiang at the least. The resident minority of Lijiang is the Naxi. The closest resident minority to Kunming might be the Sani (IIRC) branch of the Yi people, in Stone Forest.
Main reason is photo. Any advice
Are there any ethnic minority dancers show dali in Linjiand old town?
this ';resident minority of Lijiang-the Naxi people'; can be one of the minority for photo.
I have for departure point: 3 choices Macao,Shenzhen or Guangdong.
Don%26#39;t know where to stay if Kunming or Lijiang too
No offence, but please try to proofread your posts before you post them, so that I can understand what you%26#39;re trying to say.
I%26#39;m confused as to what you%26#39;re trying to ask in ';Are there any ethnic minority dancers show dali in Linjiand old town?'; Firstly, I assume it%26#39;s a simple typo and you mean ';Lijiang old town';, that%26#39;s simple enough to decipher. Now, what does the extra ';dali'; in there mean? The question would read fine if that word wasn%26#39;t in there, and I think the answer could be yes, in that case. There%26#39;re daily evening dances in the main square of Lijiang which%26#39;re free and open to the public, many travellers like to join in the fun and merrymaking as well. However, since it can be quite dim, it might be difficult to get good photos.
You should also look into attending the Naxi traditional music concert hosted by Xuan Ke nightly. This is a wonderful opportunity to take photos of the ancient orchestra -- elderly (and also younger) players, ancient instruments and even more ancient music, some dating as far back as the Han dynasty, now no longer preserved anywhere else.
Another entertaining show would be held opposite the concert hall, on the same street, called Dongba Hall or something like that.
You still haven%26#39;t answered me as to whether your 4 days have to include travelling time or not. With your present 3 choices for port of entry into China, your best choice for travelling onward to Lijiang (via Kunming) would be Guangzhou. You%26#39;ll have to fly to Guangzhou -- Kunming -- Lijiang and back the same way. Count on having to use 1 entire day for this either way. This effectively leaves you with 2 days in Lijiang. It%26#39;s enough, I suppose, but what a lot of money, time and effort just for 2 days!
What did you mean in your last question? Are you wondering if you should ';stay'; (ie visit) Kunming or Lijiang, or are you wondering where to stay in either? If the former, I%26#39;d pick Lijiang. To answer your question if it%26#39;s the latter, there%26#39;re plenty of places to stay in either, depending on your budget and requirements.

I mean is 4 days just for touring doesn%26#39;t include the day of departure and arrival.
We would like to stay in a hotel with a safety box inside the room.
Where to find an online map of Lijiang?
Thanks
Then you should be fine for Lijiang.
If you go to http://images.google.com and type in ';Lijiang map'; you%26#39;ll get a whole range of answers, at least one which would be suitable for you.
There%26#39;re countless places to stay in Lijiang old city (please make sure you%26#39;re not staying in the bland new city), but I wouldn%26#39;t know which ones have a safe inside the room. I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s very common though. What are you bringing that%26#39;s so valuable? Security shouldn%26#39;t be a problem for most travellers who stay in the guesthouses, hostels or inns anyway.
