I thought I read on a post somewhere to avoid hot pots or flame pots in China? Is that true? If so, is it due to sanitary reasons?
Hot pot or flame pot?
I%26#39;ve never heard of them being called ';flame pots';, only ';hot pot';.
I guess there%26#39;re some people who%26#39;re queasy at having to share a cooking pot with others? Personally, I don%26#39;t have that problem.
Hot pot or flame pot?
Is it the Chengdu (Chong-ching )or the famous ';Ma lak';:super tongue numbing feeling spicy dipped soup.
If this is the type you are referring,it is meant for those who love very hot N spicy soup and the special hotter than chilli spices
They%26#39;re not necessarily spicy, or that spicy. It depends on what soup base and sauce you pick.
I%26#39;m not for spicy at all. Just heard these are delicious, especially the soup at the end.
Thanks!!
You want a Mongolian style hot pot rather than Chongqing (which can be very spicy).
I think hot pot is safe to eat, since you boil everything in the pot in front of you.
Well, it%26#39;s just that some Westerners aren%26#39;t used to sharing pots with the rest of who they%26#39;re eating with. Small ';personal'; pots have been getting popular, but both are available... usually at different restaurants though.
