Hong Kong to Vietnam

I want to do a trip from Hong Kong to Vietnam and Cambodia. Could you please help me saying which is the best and cheapest way to do it? Is it better to go through China or to fly to Hanoi?

Thanks for your help.

Do you just want to get from Hong Kong to Vietnam, or doing some sightseeing along the way?

How much time do you have and when would you be travelling?

Are you asking for a tour group, or going on your own?

A travel agent knowledgeable in Asian destinations will be your best resource for cheap airfare and for the routing best suited to your needs. Just the same, check out the discount airlines on your own, the asian air-pass options, and airfare search engines for comparison purposes. A lot will depend on whether you are thinking of travelling from London on the same trip.

A list of discount asian airlines can be obtained here:

A list of asian air pass programs can be obtained here:

A couple of airfare search engines to start with are:

I would guess that you will find the cheapest airfares are obtained by flying from Hong Kong to HCMC (Saigon) and not Hanoi.

Both London and Hong Kong are major airline hubs so you will have plenty of options. Note the visa requirements for travel to Vietnam and Cambodia. You will need some time to obtain your visa in advance of your travel dates.
