Haikou Airport to Sanya

Hello, Would anybody know how long is the trip by taxi from Haikou Airport to Sanya (Yalong Bay)? Hotel told me it%26#39;s 5 to 6 hours but I%26#39;m not sure that%26#39;s true. Also how much would the taxi cost (hotel says 600 rmb)? Thanks for your help!

From Haikou Airport to Sanya Yalong Bay, 4.5hours are enough. If it%26#39;s not so slow, 4 hours are ok. If just a common taxi, RMB400 is ok. But it will be not so easy to find a taxi driver who would like to do this business. Because if he send you to Sanya, if he can%26#39;t find other guests from Sanya to Haikou, he has to drive an empty car back to Haikou.

Sure. Better is to take the bus over there. It is 70 or 80 RMB and you will safe at least 220 RMB (it is enough to pay a hotel over here for 48 hours).

I do not think that it is hard to find taxi-drivers in Haikou, but if they see that he/she is a foreigner they will ';charge'; him/her at least 400 RMB. I think that 300 RMB is a normal price.

you tried 3 hours from Haikou to Sanya??? I never tried. I think that should drive so fast. Anyway, safty is the most important la.

As I know there are few road Haikou - Sanya. May be, the drivers are using different time, different roads, so the time is not the same.

I do agree with you, I prefer the careful drivers.

There is an expressway between Haikou and Sanya. Buses take around 3.5 hrs and cost around 70 rmb for a comfortable one. Taxis are quicker and cost around 300rmb (can fit 4 people).
