Route from Xiamen to Taipei?

We will be visiting Xiamen, and plan on flying back to the US through Taipei. Is it possible to go directly from Xiamen to Taipei? I have read about a ferry to Kenmen and a flight to Taipei, but can%26#39;t find any info about it.

Any help would be appreciated.

That is only for Taiwanese businessmen and PRC citizens who hold an ID card from Fujian province, definitely not to any Westerners. So drop that idea right now.

There%26#39;re no direct flights that foreigners can take between mainland China and Taiwan. You%26#39;ll have to fly through Hong Kong or Macau.
