Hi All
Is 7 days sufficient in Xiling mountain and Jiuzhaigou?
I am planning a trip in November 07. Will there be enough snow in early November for skiing? What is the best way to get to Xiling mountain? Book a tour in Chengdu for 2 days in Xiling mountain? Is this cheaper? Or can we make our way there ourselves?
Is three days in Jiuzhaigou enough? Also, is it better to book a tour
from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou? How much will this cost for four persons?
Thanks in advance for your help.

3 days in Jiuzhaigou is enough assuming you%26#39;re not including transport time. 2 days for Jiuzhaigou and 1 day for Huanglong. If you%26#39;re flying, add on half a day on both ends. If you%26#39;re taking bus, add on a full day on both ends. Whatever you do, do NOT take a tour to Jiuzhaigou, it%26#39;s NOT necessary at all.

Is it very easy to get the plane tickets to Juizhaigou? I can just buy the tickets at the airport? How much does it cost for a return trip? You mentioned Huanglong is this in Juizhaigou? What to do in Huanglong?
If you%26#39;re lucky you%26#39;ll get to see either the last of autumn colours or the first snow in Jiuzhaigou.
It shouldn%26#39;t be too hard getting tickets at that time but if you already know your dates, nothing against getting them in advance.
I think it%26#39;s about 1000 RMB for the flight each way, inclusive of taxes. Round-trip is just 2x one-way. The airport is 90 km from Jiuzhaigou so you still have quite a ride after reaching the airport.
Huanglong is closer to the airport and have marvellous limestone terraces. Read up a guidebook or online for more information. Kinokuniya Bookstore in Takashimaya and Borders are both good for reading for free, I prefer the former. For Kinokuniya, assuming the store layout hasn%26#39;t changed since August, the guidebooks are located near the escalators going down near the centre of the store.
