We can%26#39;t seem to find a way to get from Beijing to Datong (except by overnight train). We want to see the Yungang Caves. Is there a tour group that does this trip?

Go to Datong by overnight train and then get a bus to Yungang Grottoes for only 2.5 RMB, no need for a tour.
Though if you really want one, it%26#39;d be easy to find once you%26#39;re in Datong. The CITS runs an acceptable IIRC.

Agree. I think I%26#39;ve said earlier that it%26#39;s an overnight train ride of 6-7 hours. You%26#39;d need at least 2N1D for this.
It is rushed to do a one-day tour to datong from beijing. You can consider 2d/1n.
