Is it weird to get a massage from a blind person? also is it hard to get around shanghai with english?

1) No, why would it be?
2) You won%26#39;t be the first nor the last traveller visiting Shanghai (or China) with no knowledge of Chinese. It%26#39;s not the hardest barrier to overcome but coming prepared would help. Bring a phrasebook (Rough Guide%26#39;s Mandarin is recommended) and lots of patience. Rely on the metro wherever possible as it%26#39;s clearly signposted in both English and Chinese.
