I believe you are going to have to find a service apartment, or a vet%26#39;s office. Shanghai is not a pet friendly city.

service apartment is a hotel, but use the apartment style. ( some you need to pay per month)

Many hostels require you to bring your own sleep sheet or you can pay a fee to rent sheets at the hostel.
