Not sure how locals can effort this or any other shows that have details posted on TA

Acrobats and such are mostly popular with tourists, not locals, but the prices of events that are locally popular are even more expensive.

It%26#39;s easy to find plays, concerts, sports matches etc. where the ticket prices range from 120 RMB for the back few rows of the balcony on the sides (I mean really lousy seats) to 1600 RMB front and center.

Beijing has roughly 13 million people. Most are not rich, but thousands upon thousands will spend 1600 RMB per ticket just to show people around them that they can afford it!

And check out the ticket prices for movie theaters. Ouch.

Agree, these shows are mainly for tourists, not locals.
