Hi
I%26#39;ll be in HK for 7 days in June and I thought that I might want to get out of HK for a day or 2, so thought of doing some shopping in SZ and r and r in macau. A few questions...
1) Is it safe to go SZ alone? I had never been there but I am game to try.
2) Do I need a visa for either SZ or Macau?
3) Should I go to both SZ and Macau or just choose 1?
4) I would be staying at YMCA salisbury and which is the most convenient place to take a ferry?
Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Safe to go to Shenzhen solo? Or should just go Macau?
I travelled to Shenzhen on my own and felt fine. I am a female over the age of 40, and if I can do it, anyone can! Just make sure you take enough HK dollars to fund your purchases, and a big enough bag to bring them all back in. Not sure of your nationality, but I arranged a visa in HK with China Travel Service in Tsim Tsa Tsui - it took 1 day.

1. Shenzhen is not really safe compare with Hong Kong and Macau to be honest. May thieves, robbery, but better than before we can say
3. If you stay in HK for 7 days, you can go to both Macau and Shenzhen, spend 1-2 days in each city. You can see some Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Macau details in the below website
http://www.involvementstay.com/Macau.htm
4. YMCA is convenient to take ferry to HK island and also take the KCR trian to Shenzhen.
For Macau ferry, you can take in TST or Sheung Wan
