Macau/Hong Kong Trip

I%26#39;ll be staying 01 night in Macau and 03 nights in Hong Kong. Am travelling with my parents, and this is our first visit. It%26#39;s a birthday trip for my mum and myself. What are the places of interests we should cover, so as to actually experience the culture of these two destinations? We don%26#39;t mind skipping the temples. How about the best places to shop and eat? Understand the time constraints we%26#39;re facing, so wouldn%26#39;t wanna waste any time.

Is there a good hotel that isnt too expensive to recommend, location-wise, in Macau? Also, would it be advisable to give Shenzhen a miss?

Would appreciate any information at all. Do not have much time left for research. Departure%26#39;s on 13Mar07. Will be heading to Bangkok for two nights first.

Sightseeing: take the following tours, or take them as samples and designe your own.

Hotels at Taipa are overall cheaper, Best Western Taipa, Grandview, Taipa Square are often mentioned in this forums, you might want to look at the review for more details.

Don%26#39;t know you should miss Shenzhen or not, anyway it is north of Kowloon.....

Macau/Hong Kong Trip

For some Hong Kong and Macau general information and accommodation, you can read below website for reference

http://involvementstay.com

For Macau, you can go to Casino, Macau Tower, Ruinas de Sao Paulo

For Hong Kong, you can go to Tsim Sha Tsui, Peak, Mong Kok Ladies market, Jade street, Central.

Great! Will check out the two links you guys have provided. Thanks!

By the way, any opinion on whether Grand Waldo or Rio would be a better choice of hotel? Would prefer some luxury without exceeding my budget.

I would give Shenzhen a miss since you only have three nights in HK. It%26#39;s good only for cheap copies of anything you can think of. There are too many places to see in HK to bother with Shenzhen.

Thanks Baclava, I%26#39;ll definitely be giving Shenzhen a miss then.

Any idea about the above two Macau hotels?
