First time to Hong Kong, what area to stay?

Hi All

I have never been to Hong Kong before and am looking to visit for 5 days in April. Can you please advise as to the different areas and which area would be most suitable to stay?

We are looking to stay in a central location which is walking distance to most of the attractions. Also somewhere close to good transport links?

Thanks

Hong Kong is not that small such that a single location is within walking distance to most attractions. The Central location is the Central District which has good transports links to all other places. Hotels in Central are luxury and very expensive.

Near Central District is Admiralty which has very good hotels and is also a convienent location with good transport links.

Just a ferry ride across the harbour from Central District is Tsim Sha Tsui with a mixed ranges of hotels where almost everyone would probably find a hotel that fits your budget.

Causeway Bay, only 3 tube stops away is the shoppers%26#39; paradise.

All these areas are full of restaurants.

for normal 3 star hotels, kimberly %26amp; BP international are popular choices amoung singaporeans.. and its relatively near to the MTR. i stayed in prudential hotel before.. its just above jordon MTR... anywhere along Tsim Tsa Tusi to Mongkok should be good....
