Travelling by train or plane from Sanya to Hanoi?

Which is best? How long by train? Reasonable prices? I hear good things about the trains in China. Where to book them? If train does not go into Vietnam, what city would be close to Hanoi? What can we expect the weather to be like in these places next month? Thanks in advance, I%26#39;ve been reading the forums, but can%26#39;t find answers to these questions. Debbi

There is a comfortable regular express bus from Nanning to Hanoi via Yuyi Immigration:Ticketing at Nanning:0771-550833/5508332/5508333/2102445:inexpensive at Yuan120 but departs at different terminal at different time schdule:confirm with ticketing.

Train depart to Hanoi at every wednesday and friday only.

Not sure if there%26#39;re direct flights from Sanya to Hanoi. If you want to try budget airlines and don%26#39;t mind stopovers then take a bus to Haikou to fly Haikou -- Singapore and then Singapore -- Hanoi with Tiger Airways (http://www.tigerairways.com.sg).

If going overland by trains, take a bus to Haikou, overnight train Haikou -- Guangzhou, overnight train Guangzhou -- Nanning, train Nanning -- Pingxiang. From there cross the border at Friendship Pass to Vietnam then continue by bus to Hanoi.
